My Past Life
Professionally I’ve done a number of things to get ahead. For years, I worked in the health sector in sales & training, corporate, Airbnb hosting, and real estate. While I enjoyed these roles, I craved more independence and control over my schedule. I wanted to spend quality time with my loved ones and not be tied down by a traditional 9-5 job.
I had a hard time dealing with that, so I started a few side hustles to gain more flexibility and independence from selling Aromatherapy oils in the MLM industry to developing my own Tooth Gems Business which was really successful. As a single parent at the time I needed to support my daughter so I went back into the corporate world. Finally, burnt out and disillusioned I went in search of real change.
Now that was over six years ago. It seems like yesterday that I embarked on an exciting journey, seeking a business solution that offered time and location freedom along with a better work/life balance. I found the perfect fit in the online space, allowing me to live and work from anywhere in the world. The power of the internet was undoubtedly the way forward. So, I quit my job and have never looked back.

The Biggest Financial Mistake of My Life!
A number of years back I was at a particularly low point financially. I’d lent a considerable sum of money to a friend…ok…an ex boyfriend…..and it stretched me a way too far.
As a single mum things got really tight financially and when I couldn’t afford to send my daughter to school camp or buy her a computer for school.
I remember deciding that I had to look outside the square to get back on my feet financially, so I invested $10,000 that I didn’t have into a real estate mentoring group.
My friends and family were horrified. But I did it anyways as I had a gut feeling it was the right thing to do. I’d done my research and due diligence on the company…and it just felt right. Over the next 5 years through the guidance of the group I purchased 3 investment properties and turned my initial investment into $320,000. I was even featured in a Property Investor Magazine!
I learnt how to add value, spruce them up and manage them through Airbnb. This business was successful and I still manage 3 properties today, but it’s time intensive and no residual income.
I was hungry for more. I was ready to create a lifestyle. It’s difficult to run Air BNB when you’re away travelling. You’ve got to be hands on with that sort of business. Plus there’s no residual income which is something I wanted to change.
I was looking for something more. I really had my sights set on creating a lifestyle.
